Tapping Therapy, sometimes also known as EFT, uses the ancient principles of Chinese acupuncture to address your feelings (especially the negative feelings) about issues you experience on a regular basis. For example: fears and phobias, sadness, anger, disappointment, frustration, or nearly anything that interferes with your serenity.

This is such a simple technique, that even a young child may be easily taught to use it efficiently.

Based on the use of meridian energy points on the face, body, and hands, but without the acupuncture needles, tapping therapy accesses the emotional “memories” in your body. By physically touching the meridian points affected, while gently exploring negative feelings and memories, EFT tapping allows the release of that negative energy.

Then, new, more positive feelings may be set into place.

Tapping therapy has been known to help, and in some cases, totally do away with emotional and even physical challenges. It is commonly used to enhance athletic, business, and personal performance, increase prosperity, and for reducing undesirable behaviors, such as inappropriate food cravings.

You can use this tapping method to address such physical issues as weight loss, allergies, blood pressure, and pain management. Even supposedly incurables like Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Muscular Dystrophy, Parkinson’s disease, Diabetes, and Cancer may be helped.

EFT therapy is available to everyone. It requires no special equipment, doesn’t involve the use of any drugs, and may be practiced anywhere. It can be used to help yourself or others, it’s painless, and its applications appear to be limited only by your imagination.

You can even download the “how to” book at no charge at the EmoFree web site.

There is probably nothing that can’t be improved with tapping therapy, so what’s holding you back? Start tapping today.

As a naturopathic practitioner, Sherri Stockman often uses EFT tapping therapy with her clients. You can learn how to put tapping to use immediately in your life at

From Energy Medicine, by Donna Eden (above) and David Feinstein:

The Cross Crawl is essentially an exaggerated walk. It facilitates the crossover of energy between the brain’s right and left hemispheres.

It will help you:

feel more balanced

think more clearly

improve your coordination

harmonize your energies

This exercise is especially valuable when you’re feeling low on energy, or “drained,” and there is no apparent reason for it. It can happen after doing a normal activity, like carrying something relatively heavy – a child, luggage, even a shoulder bag.

The Cross Crawl (exercise) is based on fact that the left hemisphere of your brain needs to send information to the right side of your body, and the right hemisphere needs to send information to the left side. If energy from the left or right hemisphere is not adequately crossing over to the opposite side of your body, you cannot access and utilize your brain’s full capacity or your body’s full intelligence.

Activities that don’t allow for that arms-swinging-opposite-the-legs motion will sooner or later lead to these “communication problems.” This includes people who sit all the time, particularly those in wheel chairs or otherwise non-ambulatory.

When using tapping therapy, we are relying on this electrical energy to send a message to ourselves.

When energy is unable to cross over, it slows down dramatically. It begins to move in what is referred to as a homolateral pattern — straight up and down the body — and the body’s ability to heal is severely diminished.

If you are physically fit, just marching in place for 30 seconds (swing your arms) should get you back into the flow. Or take a leisurely walk.

When physical mobility is an issue, or you’re at work or school and the movement would be distracting to others, you can try imagining the cross crawl. Visualize yourself walking confidently, swinging your arms naturally.

Now you will be better prepared for your tapping therapy session.

[Uncontrolled hypertension is a serious condition. Please see your healthcare professional]
So you’d like to try tapping therapy for your high blood pressure?

Certainly, tapping therapy helps with physical ailments like hypertension, and it is a great addition to most medical treatment. But how can you make it work even better?

Stress is often implicated in high blood pressure cases, because of the chemicals it causes your body to produce. These chemicals tend to make your blood “sticky” or “thick” – hence the use of blood thinners by the medical profession.

EFT and other tapping therapies are well known to help reduce stress, so certainly tap on that.

And you can take it back even further: Why are you stressed out?

Health issues? We’re working on that one.

Working two jobs? This one has lots of possibilities (abundance, fear, guilt).

Not enough money to pay bills.

Not enough time for family/yourself/church/volunteer work.

Physically and mentally exhausted.

Feeling like a failure.

Relationship issues? This is even more of a double-whammy, because high blood pressure tends to make most people a bit short-tempered.

“I can’t change my partner; I can only change me.”

Have trouble taking in the proper nutrition? Always important, and often under utilized.

Not drinking enough water.

Eating foods that aggravate your condition.

Don’t enjoy exercising?

30 minutes of walking a day.

Taking a break from work to stretch and breathe.

You can see there are so many possibilities of issues you can address in your customized high BP tapping therapy.

Don’t try to accomplish everything at once – no need for more stress and pressure!

Go a little at a time… you’ll find a natural flow as you get into your tapping.

According to Wikipedia, Callahan gave his treatment the name “Thought Field Therapy” because he theorizes that when we think about an experience or thought associated with an emotional problem, we are tuning into a “thought field,” which he describes as “the most fundamental concept in the TFT system” and which “…creates an imaginary, though quite real scaffold, upon which we may erect our explanatory notions”.
