Using EFT For Reducing Test Anxiety

Exam StressTrying to do well in school can be pretty stressful for most kids (adults, too!). Reducing test anxiety will not only lead to better grades, but better understanding of the subject, as well.

If you’re too stressed out about that exam coming up, you will more than likely have trouble focusing on studying properly. And even if your study time goes well, an anxiety attack at test time can put your mind at a total blank.

Typical negative feelings surrounding testing anxiety might include:
I hate tests.
I’m afraid I’ll forget everything I learned.
I’ll be ashamed if I don’t get an A on my exam.
I’m worried I will flunk this test.

When using EFT tapping for overcoming test anxiety, you acknowledge those negative feelings you are having, and then “replace” them with more positive statements – the way you wish you were feeling:

I feel prepared, calm, and alert.
I am confident I will do my best on this exam.
I am able to remember the material and answer the questions correctly.
My mind is clear and is able to retrieve the answers I need.

Practice your tapping during study breaks, before Test Day. Then the habit will be set before you actually need it.

Remember to breathe… do your tapping… and you’ll be well on your way to reducing your test anxiety.
